Description:
Old scroll painting depicting a dragon obscured and emerging from the clouds. Finely painted on silk with a good silk mounting as well. Dates from the early to mid 20th century. Signed & sealed by the artist Sakai Hoshu (born in 1892) who studied under Yoshimura Horyu . Painting and mounting are in excellent condition. Painting measures 14" x 45". Mounting is substantially larger. Comes with original fitted wood box which is signed & sealed by the artist..
